How can we help mobilise your workforce during this period of uncertainty?
Fortem have recently implemented several contingency plans to ensure we are fully able to meet the needs of our customers during this COVID-19 outbreak.
Our technology allows us to operate our systems and processes remotely ensuring continuous levels of service. Should we need to close our offices and switch to a completely remote working model we are able to do so, confidently and effortlessly.
Is your company ready?
As the Coronavirus spreads, more and more people are taking advantage of remote working, which is great for those with the capability and infrastructure. While initially it may be business as usual there will be the issue of increased usage and a lack of infrastructure to support the demand.
Areas of concern will centre around VPNs, VDI and remote computing, VoIP and unified communications, remote security, the absence of mission-critical software and perhaps a shortage of hardware as teams decide how tasks are completed and who will be responsible.
The final area of concern is likely to be IT support staff, as the number of staff working from home grows so will the need to support them. This is likely to bring strain to systems and infrastructure, any areas that have been overlooked or underfunded will no doubt be brought to light.
We’re here to help.
In the last month, we’ve seen a sharp rise in the number of requests that have arisen from our clients implementing their own contingency plans. This has included additional hardware requirements including laptops, peripherals and server upgrades (due to increasing capacity), as well as additional licenses and software to deal with remotely using legacy applications and systems securely.
As your technology partner we remain committed to supporting your business throughout this testing time. We are constantly monitoring the situation and will update you should the need arise.
Perhaps you are looking to bolster up on your disaster recovery or mobile workforce strategy, or simply wanted validation that you’ve left no stone unturned when devising your current business continuity strategy.
